We're seeking a highly motivated and divergent-thinking Mechanical Engineer Co-founder to lead rapid prototyping and facilitate knowledge transfer to partnered Japanese corporations and beyond.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of prototypes.
Manage the technical aspects of partnerships with Japanese corporations, including knowledge transfer and collaboration.
Contribute to the overall technical strategy and vision of UP Electromods.
Qualifications
Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on prototyping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in cross-cultural settings.
Demonstrated ability to think critically, reason effectively, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
A curious and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong drive to excel in a challenging field.
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to grasp and implement unfamiliar concepts.
A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humor.
Bonus Points
Experience working with Japanese companies or in a cross-cultural environment.
Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: mobility; energy; Artificial General Intelligence; quantum sensing, computing & communications; and biosensing & precision health and performance.
